
Work was carried out on the 80-year-old ship for two months. In particular, the Svalbard expedition last year had left its mark. The "Dagmaar Aaen" came ashore a good eight weeks ago in Egernsund, Denmark.

Much of the work is now done, the shark cutter is due to be launched again this Tuesday. Smaller remaining work still has to be done, but the ship is definitely fit for the coming season, can be read on Arved Fuchs's blog. The day after tomorrow the crew and ship will be able to demonstrate how well the work has paid off. Then the "Dagmar Aaen" starts at the traditional rum regatta.
