In the ORC Club overall ranking, the First 36.7 "semi-dry" with helmsman Knut Freudenberg took first place. At the end of the yachts sailing to yardstick, the "Tioga", a Herreshoff ketch with skipper Rollo Marquardt, was ahead. In the first version of the article, an error had crept into the results.
At least as important as a good placement were discussions and socializing at dinner together with a party afterwards. If you couldn't wait, you could already talk shop on the high edge, for example on board the "HaspHamburg". Hamburg's Senator for Economic Affairs, Frank Horch and Dr. Harald Vogelsang, spokesman for the board of the Hamburger Sparkasse.
It was Horch's eighth participation, he appreciates the event: "It's a lot of fun to sail here. Afterwards to meet all the North German representatives of the most important shipping companies in the port and talk to them about shipyards and freight rates, offshore wind farms and the energy transition, is unique in this form."
Other guests from politics included Schleswig-Holstein's Prime Minister Torsten Albig and Cuxhaven's Lord Mayor Dr. Ulrich Getsch.
