Wilfried Erdmann and his new DVD collection
Even in the days when filming was expensive and cumbersome, Wilfried Erdmann often traveled with a video camera in his luggage. There were no waterproof memory cards, image stabilizers or Go-Pro cameras - the exposed films had to be protected from heat, cold and the salty air for months and sometimes for years until they could be developed and cut together frame by frame on return. The production was expensive and the circulation small. An average cassette from the "YACHT-Videothek" cost 168 D-Marks in the eighties, and only a few were granted the colossal pictures of the trips of the time.
For the first time, the films of Wilfried Erdmann's best sailing years have now been brought together in a DVD collection. The first DVD reports on all past trips, especially the honeymoon from 1969 to 1972, the second tells the story of the blue water journey with his wife Astrid and son Kym from New Zealand to France. The third takes the viewer on one of the most important adventures: "The Magical Route".
The DVDs are enriched with numerous videos, photos and retrospective interviews. 240 minutes of play - for only 39.90 euros. Available either online from Delius Klasing Verlag - or directly from the protagonist himself!
You will meet Wilfried Erdmann on Saturday, January 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, January 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Delius Klasing stand in Hall 11, Stand F 41.
