The bow wave pushed the buck abeam off the ship
A memorable traffic accident has occurred at the motorway bridge near Rendsburg. YACHT author Holger Peterson was just moving his "Fuchur" into the Baltic Sea, when a strange obstacle suddenly appeared in front of his bow: a roebuck crossed the canal. Peterson gave full astern and tried a last-minute maneuver, but the collision was unavoidable - the animal dodged to the same side as the yacht.
It was pushed aside by the bow wave and apparently got away with the horror. Our author has documented the course of the accident in this series of photos.
