Which type of boat do you prefer? Which shipyard, charter agency, insurance company and which outfitter do you trust? And anyway, how big, sporty, comfortable should your own yacht be? Where are you sailing And how often? Question after question. Your answers are very important to us. Prizes worth a total of over 33,000 euros waiting for the participants of this year's YACHT reader survey.
When it comes to anticipating what sailors want, shipyards, equipment suppliers and other manufacturers or service providers in the maritime sector naturally find it difficult. The customer group is too heterogeneous. There are regatta and recreational sailors, owners of dinghies and thick ships, charterers and proud owners of their own ship. They all have different views and preferences when it comes to their hobby.
Every year, the YACHT therefore starts a large survey among its readers in autumn. In the current issue (edition 20/08, available in newsagents from Wednesday), two postcards are attached, on which several questions about personal leisure and sailing behavior are printed. Just fill out one of them and go to November 6, 2008 send it back to the editorial office. You are welcome to pass the second card on to friends or relatives who are also sailing.
Your answers should help the sailing boat industry to better understand your wishes and ideas and to be able to respond to them. Those who take part are helping to ensure that the providers of ships, accessories and services will be able to present their customers with even better, so to speak, tailor-made offers in the future.
