The crew of the "Emil Reiseschwein" were very happy
The final stage of the Nord / LB Baltic Sprint Cup from Copenhagen / Denmark over 95 nautical miles to Warnemünde has been decided. Friedrich Böhnert / Hamburg won the last stage with his family crew on the Hanse 371 "Schüddelfrost" before Jaanus Tagu / Estonia with "Ladybird".
It got exciting again on the final stage of the Nord / LB Baltic Sprint Cup. The kangaroo start made it clear that the first ship to cross the finish line would win the stage. The family crew around the Hamburg lawyer Friedrich Böhnert with “Schüddelfrost” was the first ship to reach the target buoy off Warnemünde at 2.21 this morning and achieved third place in the overall standings by winning the last race.
Second in the seventh stage was Jaanus Tagu's yacht “Ladybird”. Thanks to the excellent final race, the Estonian crew secured second place in the overall standings.
The crew around the Buxtehuder Stefan Hummelt with the X-442 "Emil Reiseschwein" was very happy. The fifth place was enough to claim the overall lead in the Baltic Sprint Cup.

The Hamburg-based Volker Andreae could not live up to the role of favorite with “Inschallah VI”. A 28th place on the route to Warnemünde is only enough for sixth place in the overall ranking. For Count Harald Saurma-Jeltsch from Eckernförde, too, his “Meltemi” was only 12th in the end. In the final ranking, he finished fifth.
The big award ceremony with the most beautiful pictures from the event on a big screen will take place today (Friday, July 29th) at 4 p.m. in the Kurhaus in Warnemünde (Seestraße 18). Both the best of the final stage and the class winners will be awarded.
