Hannes Jaenicke and Simon Schwarz looking for the ideal course
Lots of German, Swiss and Austrian television, cinema and theater celebrities at this year's "Rose of Charity Sailing Cup" off the coast of Sardinia: For four days, 13 yachts not only fought for regattas, but also sailed for a good cause. As in previous years, the aim was to publicize the work of the German bone marrow donor database DKMS.
Stars like Hannes Jaenicke, Esther Schweins, Till Demtrøder, Stefan Gubser, Martin May, Andreas Borcherdinger, Simon Schwarz, Brigitte Hobmeier and many others were there. In addition, several stem cell donors and recipients.

Most of the participating actors had of course not only registered themselves with DKMS as potential donors before the regatt. In the spring, many of them had taken their own boat license or completed a skipper training course.
The ARD editorial team of "Brisant" has made an entertaining contribution about how they have done. It can be accessed via the ARD media library or directly from the TV magazine's homepage.

Partners of the "Rose of Charity Sailing Cup" include the still young automobile manufacturer DS, the charter agency Master Yachting and YACHT. A detailed report on the regatta and the charity campaign will appear in one of the upcoming issues.
