Wallilabou Bay a few hours before the act. The attacked ship is in the middle of the crowd - why did it hit this yacht in particular?

The 48-year-old Martin G. from Bavaria was shot in Wallilabou Bay on St. Vincent at the beginning of March. During the attack on the anchored yacht, skipper Reinhold Z., 63, was seriously injured by a shot in the shoulder. An eyewitness already described the processes that night in YACHT 10/2016, and the Hamburg State Criminal Police Office published a call for witnesses in the booklet. Thereupon a new witness actually reported: Werner I. from Göttingen, 63, a proven area expert with the best contacts in the region. He was lying right next door on the night of the murder - and after the crime he went to research himself.

In the new issue of YACHT, the witness reports a number of oddities that happened in the bay that evening. And of a macabre coincidence: Immediately before the attack, Lale Andersen's invitation to come to the harbor at night "when the others are asleep" boomed from the sailing club "Pirate's Retreat".

The popular beach bar is owned and operated by Anthony Edwards, an institution on the bay. He raises serious allegations against the authorities, in summary: Not everything is being done to protect the sailors, and not to arrest the perpetrators either. In addition, the once attractive destination - the scenes from the filming of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" are still in the bay - have long been abandoned to decay.

Edward's complaints largely coincide with the statements of Werner I. He describes the dramatic events in the YACHT, reports of sloppy police work and above all asks a very important question: Why did it hit this ship of all places? The question is definitely justified, because numerous circumstances do not match the processes of an "ordinary" and later escalated robbery by petty criminals. An example: The attacked yacht was in the midst of other ships - it would have been far less risky to attack boats lying off in darker corners.

From all of his observations and research, I. plausibly derives an outrageous suspicion: The shot family man from Germany could be the victim of a mix-up.

How the witness comes to this assumption, what other strange things happened that night, how disinterested the police were and how the general situation in the area has worsened - you can read all of this in the new YACHT.
