Creating your own forecasts, interpreting weather maps and practical weather rules are on the timetable of the Schleswig-Holstein Sailing Association on Saturday, January 24th from 10 a.m. There are still places available.
The venue is the clubhouse of the Möltenorter Seglerkameradschaft (MSK), Möltenorterweg 3, 24226 Heikendorf. The contribution to the costs is? 30.00. On the SVSH website it says: "The speaker, qualified meteorologist Hans-Jürgen Schaefer, worked as an advisory meteorologist at Fleet Command Glücksburg until his retirement in 1998. He has acquired excellent, practical sea weather experience. In addition, he worked as a geophysics teacher at the Naval School Mürwik, and he regularly conducts weather seminars, including at the University of Kiel. Participants in earlier courses praised his interesting, easy-to-understand presentation.
The course includes the following topics: Understandable presentation of the physical characteristics of theWeather events, presentation of all meteorological information sources, especially from the Internet,Evaluation of weather maps Creation of your own forecasts using current forecast maps lasting several days, use and interpretation of special maps from the Internet,Basic knowledge of swell, practical weather rules
Current weather maps are discussed with laptop and beamer and the immeasurable variety of weather information on the Internet"
