The boat builders and the Chinese Dongfeng Race Team can be pleased: The first boat of the VO-65 fleet, which was already in operation in 2014/15, is ready for the second round around the world. At the shipyard in Lisbon, the "Dongfeng" was ready for the Dongfeng Race Team by skipper Charles Caudrelier. After three months and an investment of one million euros, the bullet was handed over to the Chinese team.

For Caudrelier's second attempt in a row, the boat was given a new coat of paint, new branding, new cameras and new media technology. Around 500 pieces of equipment in the areas of electronics, sails and fittings have been revised.
"This time we will be one of the first teams off the starting blocks and have everything we need," said Skipper Caudrelier. "We are in one of the best positions to do our best. Of course we will try everything to win even if we all respect our opponents and know that your very strong teams will play against us. " In addition to experience, Caudrelier relies on continuity: the majority of the premiere team from the last edition stayed together for the next second attempt.
