Victorious in the H-boat class: Thomas Krause and crew from Berlin
"Very successful. Again one or the other additional item on the program, again a little more quality", was the conclusion of Jörg Bludau, longstanding member of the organization team, at the end of the 76th Warnemünde Week. About 120 races could be sailed. On the final day, however, the races were canceled in most classes due to strong winds. Only the H-boats and the J 24s could still run races.
Strelow on one, Grotelüschen fourth
In the J24 class, however, this did not change anything in the overall standings. The team from North Rhine-Westphalia around Dirk Strelow was even able to extend its lead and deservedly won. Simon Grotelüschen and crew did not manage to iron out their two early starts in the end, despite their very good performances, and ended up in fourth place. In the H-boats, only two participating ships were able to withstand the harsh wind conditions on Sunday. The other seven crews decided to stay in port. The winner in the H-boat class was Thomas Krausen and his team from Berlin.
